Order cheap ativan online, Just in time for Christmas, a new installment of the In conversation-series of interviews with journalism researchers here on www.doctorofjournalism.com. This time, Order ativan online, I'm talking to Stephan Russ-Mohl, professor of journalism and media management at the Università della Svizzera italiana, Lugano and Director of the European Journalism Observatory (EJO) since October of 2003, ativan prescription. Stephan's work is very interesting and highly relevant, Virginia VA Va. , as he is studying the business side of journalism - how will journalism be paid for in the future, if at all.
Could you briefly talk a bit about the research you are currently doing – and why it is important?
Most of my present research deals with the downward spiral in which American newspapers – and American professional journalism – find themselves, ativan sale, but also with the innovations bubbling in the industry, Pharmacy ativan, particularly due to the Internet. It’s a process of “creative destruction” in the US newspaper business - "creative destruction" being a term the economist Joseph A. Schumpeter coined in the 1940s, order cheap ativan online. I am also referring to Schumpeter because my own approach is somewhat unusual in communications research: my analysis of American journalism is based on economic theory, billig kaufen ativan, specifically on rational choice theory. Comprar ativan baratos, Though behavioural economists have been pointing to the limits of this theoretical concept recently, I consider it fruitful still: for example, Akerlof’s “market for lemons” help explain why people are increasingly unwilling to pay for journalism, order ativan, and the principal agent theory works well within newsrooms. Pharmacie ativan bon marché, Additionally, it can help explain the complex relationships between journalists and their sources and journalists and their publics. Part of my research deals also with the impact of PR on journalism, ordering ativan from canada. Order cheap ativan online, If newsrooms open up the gates to PR, this may well have an effect on their income from advertising as well - why should a smart communication manager pay for ads if there is a chance to get his message through cheaper and more credible by PR. Especially as PR is frequently transformed with a few mouseclicks into “journalism”. Order ativan pills, Another area in which we plan to do more research is how results of communications research are transformed into journalism and perceived by journalists. With our website we have made a strong effort to transfer research results from the world of research journals and academic publications to the world of media practitioners – making research more accessible for journalists, media managers, Rhode Island RI R.I. , and students. Cheapest ativan, We are also trying to overcome language barriers- So far, the website is providing information in English, German, købe ativan online, Italian and Polish – more European languages to hopefully come soon!
In the US, Alaska AK , the recently-published report The Reconstruction of American Journalism (by Len Downie and Michael Schudson) has tackled very similar issues to yours – i.e. what the business model of journalism will look like in the future, order cheap ativan online. Do you see any parallels to your own work. Do you think that their suggestions have merit generally, South Dakota SD , or are they more specific to the American context?
There are a lot of parallels, Osta ativan, though I am much more skeptical concerning government funding and philanthropy than they are. One problem with government funding is that politicians will inevitably try to instrumentalize media which are financed by taxpayers. The other problem is that government-funded media may create more bureaucracy than privately-funded media, order ativan. Order cheap ativan online, Production costs of public service providers are skyrocketing everywhere – and in most cases they spend much more money on football rights, tv shows and soaps and comparatively little on high quality journalism, for example foreign correspondents. Philantropy is great – but unfortunately only few rich people will be willing to support independent journalism, Ordering ativan pills, and examples (Bertelsmann Foundation, Freedom Forum) from the past clearly show a lack of continuity. Philantropists may change their mind from one day to another on what they want to spend their money, order ativan online. Personally, Billige ativan apotek, I believe in paywalls, if they are introduced and communicated in a smart way: Let us simply convince readers, listeners, ordering ativan online legally, viewers and users that excellent and independent journalism is costly and valuable, Order ativan c.o.d., and that we should be willing to pay for it daily, at least as much as they pay for a cup of cappuccino…
Interesting that you mention paywalls. In discussing future business models, Delaware DE Del. , currently most talk ends with some kind of paywall idea. Given that linking and aggregation plays such a huge role in online news consumption today, aren’t paywalls effectively limiting your audience rather than expanding it, order cheap ativan online. North Carolina NC N.C. , I know that you have given these matters some consideration.
Of course, if I offer coffee or cars for free, there will be more demand – and something similar happens with news. And not only the New York Times but also the democracy of the US may be better served if 1,5 million people subscribe to nytimes.com than if 20 million visitors get it for free, while the Times cannot pay its staff adequately from its online advertising revenues. In times of targeted online advertising, of search engines, of Craigslist and Kijiji, it’s an illusion to finance high quality journalism without the contributions of recipients.
Thanks for your time, Stephan. If you know your German, by all means check out professor Russ-Mohl's recent book, Kreative Zerstörung. Niedergang und Neuerfindung des amerikanischen Journalismus, Konstanz: UVK 2009 (a brief summary in English can be found here).

Today In Conversation talks to University of Sheffield journalism scholar Herman Wasserman about South African tabloids and their role in the recent South African elections:
HÖ: What is your current research - and why is it important?
Buy klonopin without prescription, HW: My research in general focuses on South Africa as an emerging democracy within the context of globalization. I am interested in the intersections between local demands on the media to consolidate democracy and to contribute to development, Klonopin without prescription, with sometimes conflicting globalized normative discourses on media ethics, professionalization and within the global political economy of the fast-changing media industry. At these intersections, order klonopin, interesting negotiations take place - and often at their most interesting when they occur in the realm of popular culture. Buy klonopin without prescription, I have recently completed a manuscript for Indiana University Press in which I considered some of these negotiations as they play out in the on new South African tabloid press. The South African tabloids are interesting because they have completely revolutionized the post-apartheid print media landscape. One of these, the Daily Sun, is now the biggest newspaper in the country, buy klonopin without prescription. Targeted at the black working class and poor that are still largely neglected by the mainstream print media, buy klonopin no prescription, these papers have been severely criticized for sensationalism, Goedkope klonopin apotheek, for creating a diversion from formal politics and for peddling in stereotypes. These tabloids, it is often suggested, cheap klonopin from canada, are not the kind of media needed to consolidate a fledgling democracy. Order klonopin cod, Yet the significant amount of trust put in these papers (often people at a crime scene would call the tabloids before they call the police, for instance) suggests that there is something more going on here than just entertainment and diversion.
While the emergence of the tabloids in South Africa about a decade after the advent of democracy created much heated debate, Maryland MD Md. , few if any of the papers' critics bothered to ask the tabloid readers why they choose to read these papers and why they invest so much trust in them. Buy klonopin without prescription, For this book I conducted focus group interviews with readers of all the major tabloids, in urban as well as rural settings across South Africa to understand what role tabloids play in their daily lived experience. Louisiana LA , I complemented the readers' perspective with that of tabloid journalists, and spent some time in tabloid newsrooms to see how news decisions are made, how stories are approached, Acheter en ligne klonopin, etc. Cheap klonopin pills, For me it was an incredibly interesting learning experience, and I hope some of my fascination with this popular form of journalism will come through in the book. Why is it important, Washington WA Wash. . Ultimately the importance of my work is not for me to judge. But I do hope to make a contribution to scholarly debates around the media's role in South Africa by taking a more nuanced view of the oft-maligned tabloids in order to show how popular journalism can help us understand the changes that the mediated public sphere has undergone in the post-apartheid, transitional democracy, buy klonopin without prescription. South Dakota SD , In terms of international debates in journalism studies, I find it interesting that while there is so much panic around the future of newspapers in developed, established democracies like the UK and the US, buy klonopin c.o.d., at least some sections of the print media in developing countries like South Africa is dynamic and growing. Klonopin en ligne afin, Much of the assumptions underpinning journalism studies scholarship still derives from media-saturated countries in the Global North, with scholars often oblivious to conditions elsewhere. I hope my work on tabloids will serve to complicate that picture a little.
HÖ: What are your thoughts on the specific role of tabloids (if any) in connection with the recent SA election - did they set the agenda, klonopin kopen, did they mostly follow the other media, Buy klonopin online legally, did they endorse particular candidates, engage in any particular type of coverage, etc?
HW: It is notoriously difficult to establish a direct correlation between media coverage and voter behaviour, αγοράσετε klonopin, and I would not venture to speculate on this in the South African context either. Acquistare a buon mercato klonopin, The biggest tabloid, the Daily Sun, showed strong support for Jacob Zuma, cheap klonopin without prescription, who fashioned himself as champion for the poor - a political claim that resonated with the tabloid's mission of speaking on behalf of the working class, Om klonopin online, the 'man in the blue overall', as the Daily Sun's publisher Deon du Plessis likes to describe its reader. Buy klonopin without prescription, But there are significant differences between the different tabloids in the country, and those in the Western Cape (the Son and the Daily Voice - the former owned by the South African conglomerate Naspers, which also owns the Daily Sun, and the latter owned by O'Reilly's Independent group which also owns a number of other South African papers) are less inclined to support Zuma - because their readership, the 'Coloured' community in the province - have historically been less likely to vote for the ruling ANC. In fact, buy klonopin online without prescription, the Western Cape was the only province in which the opposition party the Democratic Alliance gained power in the recent elections. Klonopin pharmacy, Do these papers influence or reinforce the political orientation of their readers. Hard to say. But one should remain aware of the fact that the tabloid sector of the media market displays its own differences and contradictions, Alaska AK , also in terms of political orientation. What is more important than the (perhaps limited) role that these tabloids play in formal electoral politics, is their articulation of what I would call the 'politics of the everyday' - people's daily struggles in harsh conditions of extreme poverty, buy klonopin without prescription. Buy klonopin online, These tabloids have become trusted vehicles for people eking out a precarious existence to complain about lack of social delivery on the part of the government and to construct a type of working class identity. Yet one could also ask the critical question whether these tabloids, owned by big commercial interests, will ever criticize the political and economic status quo on a fundamental level or whether they rather serve as lightning rods to defuse the disillusionment among the majority of the population.
HÖ: In an earlier In conversation post, I asked Heather Nunn and Anita Biressi whether it is a problem for journalism research that the debate about tabloids and their activities almost always is framed in moral (or rather, moralistic) terms. What are your thoughts on that?
HW: Yes, I think so. Normative questions are important, but too often critics of tabloids conflate questions of ethics with questions of taste. Buy klonopin without prescription, Too often moralistic debates are informed by an elite's view of what media should be and should do in society, with a blatant disregard - contempt, even - for the preferences and the needs of the poor. If tabloid debates are always framed in terms of moral questions, it could lead to a premature closing off of inquiry and debate because tabloids are rejected on moral grounds instead of an attempt being made to understand, in the specific context of their production and consumption, why tabloids make use of a certain mode of representation and discourse.
I have found Heather and Anita's work very insightful, as with that of other scholars in the UK (e.g. Martin Conboy) and the US (Elizabeth Bird), in my attempts to locate the South African tabloids within a broader, comparative context even while I tried to understand the South African tabloids within their specific set of historical, social and political relations.

In the meanwhile, readers interested in a short background of the South African tabloids can consult his 2008 article "Attack of the killer newspapers, buy klonopin without prescription. One of the most ambitious and wide-ranging research projects within journalism studies in recent years surely is Worlds of Journalisms Buy clomid c.o.d., , a comparative study of journalistic culture in 19 countries, based on a huge set of both qualitative and quantitative data. Comprar en línea clomid, As the project is moving towards publication of its first major results, I decided to ask project originator, price of clomid, Cheap clomid overnight delivery, lead researcher and coordinator Thomas Hanitzsch a few questions:
HÖ: What gave you the idea to embark on such a wildly ambitious project as Worlds of Journalisms in the first place. And what gave you the confidence that you could succeed?
TH: The idea was born out of a great disappointment, New Hampshire NH N.H. . Buy clomid online, Part of my PhD work was a series of interviews with journalists in Indonesia. When I wanted to compare my results with survey findings from other countries I realized that those data could not be used for comparison, Alabama AL Ala. . Different conceptualizations, populations, samples, research methods etc, buy clomid c.o.d.. Billig kaufen clomid, made any comparison guesswork at best. So I decided to set up a truly comparative study that was based on an agreed-upon common conceptualization and methodology, παραγγείλετε online clomid. Buy clomid no rx, The sophistication of our comparative design made me confident that this is going to be a successful project.
HÖ: You have always been a strong advocate of comparative journalism research. What is it that comparative research can contribute to the general understanding of journalism (besides being interesting in itself)?
TH: I believe that comparison is an integral part of any research; it is in fact the basic operation of scientific inquiry, Kansas KS Kans. . Buy clomid c.o.d., We always compare new evidence to the existing stock of knowledge, no matter what subject or topic of research. Cheap clomid online legally, When we commonly refer to comparative research, we usually mean the comparison of culturally defined units of analysis, köpa clomid. Ordering clomid no rx, In this case, I think comparing journalism across nations certainly contributes to the understanding of the journalism in our own countries, cheap clomid online cheap. Billiga clomid apotek, Comparison helps us to contextualize and generalize our (often Western-centric) models and
theories. This is especially true for journalistic cultures, buy cheap clomid online. A particular journalistic culture does only become meaningful a category if compared to other (journalistic) cultures, buy clomid c.o.d.. Missouri MO Mo. , This is why I believe that comparative research is especially relevant to the cultural analysis of journalism and communication processes in general.
HÖ: There are no less than 19 countries in your comparative study. How have you managed to coordinate the work of all the participating scholars, cheap clomid no rx. Acheter en ligne clomid, Has there been any particular problems?
TH: Coordinating and managing such a large project is indeed tedious and time-consuming. One needs a lot of energy and patience, ordering clomid no prescription. Buy clomid c.o.d., However, we started with seven countries, so originally I had aimed at a much smaller project. Order clomid online cheap, But after I started to promote the project it begun to develop a life of its own. It grew as colleagues from a number of countries asked to join, clomid prices. Cheapest clomid prices, The downside of all this is that the growing number of participating countries has led to a series of unanticipated delays. The degree of commitment and reliability also varies extremely among the collaborators.
HÖ: Some key previous comparative studies of journalism has emphasized the role of structural rather than cultural factors - the prime example would be that a lot of the characteristics of journalism in a given country would be determined by whether the country is authoritarian or not, buy clomid online legally. Is this something that has been borne out by your study so far, buy clomid c.o.d.. Illinois IL Ill. , Or does the cultural perspective you take on provide a more complex picture of the effects of structural factors?
TH:In our explanatory design we tried to incorporate a wide range of factors that could potentially account for differences in journalistic cultures across nations, news organizations and professional milieus. Preliminary analyses have shown that political as well as cultural factors are extremely important predictors for variance in journalism cultures at the national level. Such a conclusion is still tentative, however, as we still haven't completed data collection in a few countries. Once we have finished, we will search for explanatory factors on multiple levels of analysis and across a wide range of domains, be it professional, organization, procedural and others.

Buy acomplia no prescription, Next up in the doctorofjournalism.com In Conversation series: Chris Finlay, PhD student at the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania, and also a regular contributor to the Huffington Post. Chris does research on the mediation of the Olympics – he’s done a lot of work on the Beijing Olympics but the bulk of his PhD work is actually focused on the upcoming London Olympics in 2012. As Chris provided me with very extensive and thoughtful answers to my question, I thought it best to split the interview in two parts - Part 2 to follow tomorrow, φτηνές φαρμακείο acomplia.
HÖ: What is your academic background and how did you come to be interested in the Olympics in the first place?
CF: I grew up in Ottawa, Canada and moved to Vancouver to go to Simon Fraser University for my undergraduate degree. Order acomplia no prescription, I had planned on studying history, but eventually found my way to political science. I received my BA (political science with a minor in history) from SFU in 2000 and moved back to Ottawa to go to Carleton University where I earned an MA in political science, buy acomplia no prescription. Throughout my time at SFU and Carleton, I tried to develop my major interests, ostaa halvalla acomplia, which revolved around the role of the media in American politics and International Relations. I was very excited by the work that the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania was doing in political communication. Ordering acomplia overnight delivery, My advisors in Canada encouraged me to apply because there really wasn't a comparable place in Canada. I came into Annenberg expecting to continue working on American political communication issues, but soon found myself attracted to new areas, such as cultural and critical studies, billiga acomplia apotek, that I believed added a necessary new dimension to the way politics could be studied. Buy acomplia no prescription, My time at the Annenberg School coincided with the development of the Center for Global Communication Studies. As somebody who is equally interested in IR and American politics, Purchase acomplia online, I worked on a number of international projects and developed a close professional relationship with the Center's director, Monroe Price.
In 2006, Monroe asked me to work on a project on the Beijing Olympics, acomplia without prescription. I was originally hesitant because I have some Olympians in my family (unfortunately, I didn't get the athletics gene!) and I felt odd about studying something that I have family ties with. Acomplia ordine on-line, But, the questions about how China hoped to use the Games to create a new image of the country were so compelling that I quickly found myself heavily involved in Annenberg's Beijing Olympics projects. From the beginning, my interest wasn't just in Beijing 2008, but the socio-political global role of the Games more generally.
HÖ: Why is it important/interesting to study the Olympics?
CF: More nation-states are part of the Olympic Movement than are members of the United Nations, buy acomplia no prescription. And, unlike the proceedings of the UN General Assembly, District of Columbia DC D.C. , the Olympic Games are followed with great enthusiasm by mass audiences around the world. In addition, Ordering acomplia pills, the Olympic Movement has a very clear Western-based Universalist socio-political agenda and, at the same time, the Games have a history of being 'used' by nation-states and other actors to promote their own agendas. In short, buy acomplia online, the Olympics are a very public and, more importantly, Order acomplia, popular form of global politics. There's a great deal of interest today in notions of global civil society. Buy acomplia no prescription, I contend that the Olympics are one of the best tools for understanding the dynamics of global civil society. One of my problems with the way that global civil society has been theorized is that little attention has been paid to the role of trigger events in focusing the attention of global publics on emerging global norms. While I certainly accept the idea that the norms of global civil society are constantly in flux and evolving in response to myriad events, buy acomplia online cheap, I think it is essential to recognize that much of this is informal and engages, at best, Købe acomplia online, a small portion of the global population at any given time. In my mind, the Olympics act at a global level like electoral campaigns and elections do at a national level. They act as a platform for competing popular narratives on key issues, cheap acomplia online, debates and identities. These popular narratives are constructed for mass consumption and the public plays an important role in that the way that different audiences engage with particular narratives informs the narrative’s authors (and researchers!) about where global publics stand on issues of great significance to major players in global civil society, buy acomplia no prescription. In lieu of global referendums on key issues, Om acomplia online, the Olympics are unique in their function as both a measure and an intervention in the construction and contestation of global norms. I suppose this makes me sound like a bit of a global populist, if there is such a thing. But, köpa acomplia online, I think that it is essential that we study those places and events where the global elite (IOs, NGOs, Farmacia acomplia baratos, MNCs, etc.) communicate with and try to influence the 'global popular'.
HÖ: The very provocative opening of your seminar (NB: Chris recently presented some of his work at an internal Reuters Institute seminar) was “Was the Beijing Olympics a success. No!”. Buy acomplia no prescription, Can you explain a bit more by what you mean by that. By what standards was the Olympics a failure, buy acomplia pills. Or was it simply that it was “not a success” (not necessarily exactly the same thing as being a failure)
CF: In the presentation I was speaking particularly about Sino-American relations. By many measures, Billiga acomplia apotek, the Beijing Olympics was a spectacular success. Initial studies about the influence of the Games within Asia and in Africa suggest that the Beijing Olympics have indeed helped China craft a more positive image. And, it certainly appears (perhaps temporarily...we’ll see) to have strengthened the legitimacy of the ruling party in China, buy acomplia no prescription. However, as part of the larger Charm Offensive in the West and, cheap acomplia pills, more specifically, the United States, Køb billige acomplia, the Games did little to assuage China fears, challenge existing narratives about issues where China does not play by the Western handbook or address misconceptions about the country. In fact, I believe it did quite the opposite, Nevada NV Nev. , which is why I would deem it a failure as opposed to ‘not a success’.
Let me give you an example to illustrate this point. Buy acomplia without prescription, The nationalist protests and accompanying xenophobic internet response coming from China, and the Chinese Diaspora worldwide, against the torch relay protests fed existing fears that China’s population was hostile to the West. Buy acomplia no prescription, The protests and counter-protests were the result of a profound and, I believe, devastating communications snafu. The Western protesters didn’t understand the essential role that the Olympics played in the aspirations and pride of the Chinese people, New Hampshire NH N.H. . The Chinese protesters didn’t understand why some people in the West were protesting the Olympic torch relay, thinking that it was primarily anti-China protests as opposed to anti-Chinese government protests. Unfortunately, the Chinese government, the Beijing Olympics Organizing Committee (BOCOG), the International Olympic Committee, Western governments and the media (I loathe the term ‘the media’ as it suggests that it is a single entity or simply a group of lemmings, but in this case it might as well have been) did little to try and correct this profound misunderstanding. Thus, the Beijing Olympics, which could have been a tool for mutuality, ended up alienating these global populations from one another. If it had simply not been a success, it wouldn’t have changed things, but it did have an impact...a negative one.
Continues tomorrow with a discussion of the problematic nature of the universalist claims of the Olympic Movement, and of media events theory. Stay tuned.

Order acomplia no prescription, OK, this is the start of what I am hoping will be a regular feature here at doctorofjournalism.com: brief conversations/exchanges with other media and journalism scholars on what they are working on at the moment, previous research, and their view as journalism scholars of current developments in journalism. First up is Deirdre O'Neill of Leeds Trinity. Oregon OR Ore. , Deirdre has a background in magazine journalism and as a press officer before she became a lecturer, and a lot of her previous and current research deals with the issues facing local and regional journalism in the UK.
HÖ: You have been doing a lot of research on regional and local journalism in the UK, billig kaufen acomplia. What made you interested in this topic. Why is it important?
DO: Local and regional news are important because what is going on in our local communities – crime, social services, education, the state of the roads, bin collection, car parking, etc, order acomplia no prescription. Minnesota MN Minn. , – have a profound effect on our local communities and our everyday lives. Local bodies such as PCTs, the local council, cheap acomplia without prescription, regional policing, Ordering acomplia online cheap, are and should be accountable to the local electorate: readers and audiences have a right to know how public money is being spent, and to challenge decisions. The media play a major part in challenging these local institutions and holding them to account on behalf of news audiences who are also, order acomplia pills, of course, Buy acomplia online without prescription, the local electorate. Given that in Britain, turnout at local elections is relatively low, acomplia ordine on-line, the local media have a pivotal role in bringing local issues to our attention and, Comprar acomplia de descuento, hopefully, engaging and prompting us to vote, and to be active citizens, Colorado CO Colo. . Order acomplia no prescription, To what extent are local media able to fulfil this ‘public interest’ aspect of journalism. We know that local newspapers are experiencing tough competition from online news and freesheets, Buy acomplia online, leading to declining circulations, loss of ad revenue, and major job losses, ordering acomplia without prescription. These trends are bound to impact on the quality of what is produced. Ordering acomplia no prescription, My research into local papers indicates that journalists are not actively seeking out stories and relying all too often on one source and parroting the ‘official’ line from organisations and institutions. But this is a vicious circle – if the quality of reporting continues to be compromised, people are going to be less willing to pay for news and newspaper circulations are going to further decline.
HÖ: Most people who study regional/local journalism in the UK are very gloomy about the future, αγοράσετε acomplia έκπτωση. Does that go for you too - and if so, why, order acomplia no prescription. Are there any reasons whatsoever to be positive about the future?
DO: I am currently doing comparative research into regional Yorkshire and South East BBC TV news and while it is disheartening to see ITV giving up on regional news, Delaware DE Del. , I am so far heartened by the BBC output. The reporting is often engaging and uses a wide range of sources. I had thought I might find formulaic news programmes – news by numbers – but when a big story breaks, acomplia without prescription, the BBC will devote up to 10 minutes on the issue in a 30 min programme, Buy acomplia online cheap, interviewing a wide range of sources and thus garnering a wide range of opinion from all those involved. Viewers are asked to interact, particularly if they are affected, Florida FL Fla. , and this does not seem to be a cynical exercise in filling up airtime. Order acomplia no prescription, Indeed, follow-up stories are pursued as a result of audience interaction. αγοράσετε acomplia, I think the future will lie with digital converged broadcasting by big players like the BBC who (while the licence fee lasts) seem to have the resources and will to provide a sound service.
HÖ: Do you think some kind of state subsidy system supporting local/regional media (particularly the daily press) - like those that exist in many Nordic nations, for example - be viable in the UK. Why/why not?
DO: While there might be a case for subsidising local papers because of public interest issues and their role in the democratic system, Illinois IL Ill. , I don’t think this is a culture that sits well with the British taxpayer – newspapers are, Pharmacy acomplia, after all, commercial enterprises. And given controversy surrounding the bail-out for the banks, order acomplia, I think this would prove even more unpopular in the present climate.
Note: Deirdre O'Neill's research on regional BBC TV news is being carried out with Dr Sam(antha) Lay of the University of Salford and they will be presenting papers on this topic at the Glasgow Caledonian University conference on metropolitan and non-metropolitan journalism May 7-8, For acomplia online, and at the Future of Journalism conference at Cardiff University on Sep 9-10.
Bio and selected publications: Deirdre O’Neill (Associate Principal Lecturer in Journalism at Leeds Trinity) has worked in magazines and as a press officer, as well as teaching on NCTJ courses before lecturing at Leeds Trinity, Kaufen acomplia. She has published research on news values in the British press (Harcup, Tony and O’Neill, Deirdre (2001) What is News, order acomplia no prescription.
