Happy birthday!

Yes, happy birthday to me, or rather to my blog. Actually, the first anniversary of www.doctorofjournalism.com was on May 28, but things were so hectic on my return from Montreal that I just couldn't find even the five minutes needed to update.
A year is virtually an eternity on the ephemeral Inter-Web. I'm sort of impressed with myself for keeping it up this long, even though it was pretty boring for a while. Right now, I feel like I can keep going for at least another year. I got a lot of positive feedback on my liveblogging from ICA, so I'll definitely liveblog again from upcoming conferences (next up: IAMCR 2008 in Stockholm in July). Other things to do in the near future include updating the "About" text so that it better reflects what the blog is about, do some residual ICA blogging, write about why comparative journalism research is becoming such a crowded field of research etc etc... the time sure has passed when I had trouble coming up with things to write, so I must be doing something right with this whole blog relaunch thing.
See you all in a couple of days!

Thanks Antony - though I must say I nearly deleted your comment as it looked suspiciously like a standardized blog spam comment…you know, “Nice site! Keep it up!” with a link for Viagra online embedded.
